Le Mans 2017: It’s Sunday, here’s how to watch continued coverage of endurance racing

The 24 Hours of Le Mans is still underway at the time of posting this article, and it is not too late to tune in for the action. The race began at 8:30 a.m. ET on Saturday morning, and will run through around that time on Sunday morning.

Fox Sports 1 and Fox Sports 2 have carried television coverage of the race. FS2 had coverage from 1 p.m. on Saturday through 1 a.m., the time this article goes live, on Sunday. Coverage shifts back to FS1 from 1 a.m. through 9:30 a.m.

A live stream of the entire 24 hours has been ongoing via FOX Sports GO, an online streaming service that requires login credentials from a participating cable or satellite provider. That stream can be viewed in a browser or via various connected smart devices with the FOX Sports GO app.

Eight hours into the race, the No. 8 Toyota TS050 Hybrid suffered a front motor issue and slowed down considerably. An hour later, Toyota’s hopes of getting revenge on Porsche after a disastrous failure with five minutes to go in the race hit a serious roadblock when the No. 7 car had to be retired due to clutch issues.

That had Nick Tandy in the No. 1 Porsche 919 Hybrid with the clear lead in the LMP1 class. The only privateer car in the field, the ENSO CLM 01/01-Nismo from ByKolles Racing was retired just a couple hours into the race due to engine issues.

That has the primary “challengers” for the top spot the leaders in the LMP2 field. The podium will include non-LMP1 cars due to all the failures, Audi’s departure from the race last year, and a lacking field of privateers.
