The Houston Rockets are bringing reserve center Nene back on a four-year, $15 million contract, according to Jonathan Feigen of the Houston Chronicle. The 34-year-old center was a key reserve for Houston last season.
Nene to re-sign with Rockets for 4 years, $15 million, according to reports
The Rockets took care of the Big Brazilian.

UPDATE: This deal was nixed. Here’s why.
There are no opt-outs or non-guaranteed seasons in the deal, according to NBA.com’s David Aldridge.
Nene showed no signs of slowing down last year, though, averaging 9.1 points and 4.2 rebounds in just under 18 minutes per game. His absence due to injury in the closing stages of the Western Conference semifinals played a key role in Houston’s loss to San Antonio. He should play behind Clint Capela again this season.
The Rockets are signing Nene via the Non-Bird exception, which allows them to exceed the salary cap to give him a 120-percent raise on his previous-year salary. This preserves the $8.4 million mid-level exception and $3.3 million bi-annual exception to add other free agents to join Chris Paul and James Harden.
