Cleveland shot the lights out in Game 4, dropping 86 in the first half and 137 for the game.

The Cleveland Cavaliers know how to respond with their backs against the wall. Down 3-0 to the Golden State Warriors in the 2017 NBA Finals, the Cavs put up record numbers to open Game 4.

Most notably: Cleveland scored 49 points in the first quarter and 86 points in the first half. Both are NBA Finals records. In the end, they dropped 137 points, the most in an NBA Finals game in 30 years.

Even more amazing are all the points the Cavaliers LEFT POINTS ON THE TABLE. They were 46-of-87 from the field and missed 10 free throws, shooting 21-of-31 at the line. LeBron James ended with a triple double, but only had eight points at halftime.

Cleveland did hit ridiculous shots, including ones like this.

Kyrie Irving led the way with 40 points, including stuff like this.

Kevin Love added 23, including 14 in the first half. James finished with a 31-point triple double.

Look at this damn shot chart!

It was an aggressive correction to the mean after the Cavaliers’ offense just hadn’t been good enough — like they had been the rest of the postseason — in the first three games. It’s probably too late to win the series, but still, what a showing.
