Kyle K’Otic Johnson, a local celebrity in Charleston, S.C., competed on American Ninja Warrior in the summer of 2015. He dabbles too in breakdancing in the Holy City’s old market, and will pop up at various times and venues to perform acrobatic feats that defy physics and the swampish humidity of South Carolina’s low country.
Like on Saturday, when he appeared at the city’s weekly farmers market to front-flip over 10 human beings lined up in a row.
It should be noted that the first two people in line are crouching on folding chairs, lending an added degree of difficulty on the front end of this pirouette. Kyle lands the dismount off camera then enjoys some well-earned applause for his troubles.
As a warmup the previous afternoon, he visited a local arcade and completed a decidedly easier task by front-flip leaping over a picnic table filled with four dazzled Charlestonians.
That one’s almost too easy for a man who can flip up and over 13 humans at once. Nevertheless, thanks to Kyle for keeping the dream alive.
