Zach Randolph arrested in Los Angeles for marijuana possession with intent to sell
Arrest records confirm that Randolph was arrested Wednesday night, but Randolph’s agent calls the charges “misleading.”

Zach Randolph was arrested on a felony charge of marijuana possession with intent to sell Wednesday night in Los Angeles, according to arrest records obtained by SB Nation. The newly signed Kings forward was issued a $20,000 bail by the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department.
The Los Angeles Police Department was called out to an area called Nickerson Gardens in the southern part of the city and attempted to disperse a large group of people who were being noisy, blocking the road, and smoking marijuana, according to TMZ Sports. When several people ran, cops pursued and arrested three individuals, including Randolph. His charge, possession of marijuana with intent to sell, came from the large quantity of weed that Randolph possessed at the time, per TMZ.
Randolph’s agent disputed that account to The Associated Press on Thursday.
“The charges are false and misleading,” Randolph’s agent and attorney Raymond Brothers said. “We’re looking at all options to resolve this matter.”
Brothers could be referring to the “intent to sell” part of the charges when he calls it misleading.
Randolph’s arrest report describes him being taken in around 11 p.m. and booked at 4:23 a.m. local time the following morning:
The arrest was one part of the disturbance that resulted in damage to several police vehicles, including five LAPD cars and a sheriff’s vehicle, per Los Angeles’ ABC-7.
Randolph signed with Sacramento this summer on a two-year, $24 million deal, ending an eight-year run with the Memphis Grizzlies. The Grizzlies announced their intentions to retire Randolph’s No. 50 jersey earlier this summer.
