Floyd Mayweather and Conor McGregor will combine for one of the biggest fights in the sport of boxing on Aug. 26, but their superfight is just the headliner of what promises to be an exciting card overall.
Mayweather vs. McGregor: Pair of world title fights announced for undercard
A four-fight Mayweather vs. McGregor fight card just got two world championship matches added to it.

SHOWTIME announced on Thursday that the co-feature for the card, a match between undefeated Gervonta “Tank” Davis, the IBF Junior Lightweight World Champion, and undefeated challenger Francisco Fonseca.
There will be four fights in total on the pay-per-view main card, with Mayweather and McGregor headlining in a hotly anticipated contest. Davis is one of the best young fighters in the sport, and his title fight is a much more interesting one from a technical standpoint.
SHOWTIME also announced another undercard bout, this one featuring WBA Light Heavyweight Champion, Nathan Cleverly, defending his title against former 168-pound champion Badou Jack “The Ripper.” Jack is moving up in weight for the bout.
Finally, the pay-per-view broadcast will open with undefeated cruiserweight Andrew “The Beast” Tabiti taking on two-time world champion Steve “U.S.S” Cunningham in a 10-round bout. That matchup will be for the USBA cruiserweight title, giving every match on the card something worth fighting for.
Davis (18-0, 17 KOs) is the youngest reigning champion in the United States ever since capturing his title in January. He knocked out Jose Pedraza to earn the belt and is looking to make his second title defense. He’s won nine straight fights by knockout.
Cleverly (30-2, 16 KOs) lost to Andrzej Fonfara in 2015 but bested Juergen Braehmer later that year to claim the WBA title. He’s beaten some big names over the course of his career, and Jack’s would be a good one to add to his list. Tabiti, 27, took down two previously unbeaten fighters in his last two fights.
Both Davis and Cleverly are Mayweather Promotions fighters, hence their billing on the SHOWTIME Boxing-run card. The card will take place at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas.
