Both Floyd Mayweather and Conor McGregor had no issues making weight for their 154-pound bout. McGregor came in one pound under at 153 pounds, while Mayweather was well under at 149 1⁄2 pounds.
Mayweather vs. McGregor weigh-in results: Both competitors come in under weight limit
Saturday’s fight between Conor McGegor and Floyd Mayweather is on after the two made the weight limit.

When they got to the staredown following the weigh-in, McGregor was screaming and yelling in Mayweather’s face. Mayweather just stared at him until they separated, and then he started laughing at McGregor.
In the interview following the weigh-in, McGregor was quick to suggest that Mayweather looked old, out of shape, and he acknowledged that he himself was much bigger than Mayweather. Mayweather was interviewed and said that McGregor has never been here before, and he promised that the fight wouldn’t make it to the judges.
McGegor won UFC titles at 145 and 155 pounds, so it’s no surprise that he had no issues making the 154-pound weight limit. When he moved up to fight at lightweight, he was fighting guys already bigger than himself.
Mayweather has held world titles at five different weight classes and, of course, had no issues making the weight even as he gets up there in years. The weight classes are more granular and have smaller differences in boxing, but he’s still never come close to having issues with weight.
It’s likely McGregor cut weight to make the 154-pound limit, and he could weigh as much as 170 pounds when they actually fight on Saturday. Mayweather doesn’t cut a ton of weight, and he’ll likely weigh around the same for the match. Mayweather has never come close to weighing significantly close to the weight limit throughout his career.
