Canelo Alvarez is one of the best in the sport of boxing, but fans have been clamoring for a bout with Gennady Golovkin for years. Now the fight is set to happen, and while it’s later than many wanted, it’s still the best matchup on paper this year, and that includes the showdown between Floyd Mayweather and Conor McGregor.
Canelo vs. GGG undercard: Full list of fights leading up to main event
Canelo Alvarez and Gennady Golovkin will headline an excellent pay-per-view card on Saturday.

The card will begin at 8 p.m. on Saturday from T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas. It can be ordered via pay-per-view, or streamed for the same price via a website created just for the bout.
In addition to the big main event, there will be four stellar undercard fights worth checking out.
The first will see undefeated American Ryan Martin taking on Francisco Rojo. Martin is 19-0 as a professional, while Rojo is 20-2, still a good test for the American. That fight will open the card, and will be followed by a showdown between undefeated Diego De La Hoya, cousin of Oscar De La Hoya and Randy Caballero.
De La Hoya is 19-0, while Caballero is 24-0, and it should be a good scrap. Finally, the co-feature will see 24-0 Joseph Diaz up against 25-0-2 Rafael Rivera. All four of those bouts will be on the pay-per-view card.
Some other undercard fights may be streamed by HBO prior to the pay-per-view, but that hasn’t been confirmed. Vergil Ortiz, Nicola Adams and Serhii Bohachuk are some of the names on the untelevised undercard.
