Forget Floyd Mayweather vs. Conor McGregor, Saturday will see two of the very best in the sport of boxing go at one another when Canelo Alvarez takes on Gennady Golovkin live on pay-per-view.

Gennady Golovkin and Canelo Alvarez will face each other on Saturday, and here’s how you can watch on TV and stream the card live online.

The card can be ordered from HBO for $80 in the United States, less than the aforementioned Mayweather-McGregor fight. It will begin at 8 p.m. ET from the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, and can be streamed live online if purchased from CaneloGGG.
Golovkin, popularly known as “GGG,” is 37-0 with 33 knockouts for his career. He opened as a significant favorite over Alvarez, but those lines have been getting narrower. Alvarez is no pushover, with his only career loss coming to Mayweather.
That fight against Mayweather was probably a mistake for Alvarez, who wasn’t ready for that kind of competition. Prior to that bout, many felt Alvarez was taking multiple risky fights, and since the loss, many have criticized him for picking and choosing his matches too often.
Alvarez is 49-1-1, and many have been calling for him to fight Golovkin for a long time. This fight is happening later than everyone wanted, but both competitors are still incredible boxers, making this the most intriguing match of the whole year.
Since losing to Mayweather, Alvarez picked up wins over Miguel Cotto and, in his last outing, Julio Cesar Chavez Jr., among others. Golovkin’s last bout was a unanimous decision victory over the very tough Daniel Jacobs.
Saturday’s main event will be preceded by three bouts on the pay-per-view card and several untelevised bouts prior to that. Ryan Martin will open the pay-per-view card against Francisco Rojo in the lightweight division. Diego De La Hoya will face Rnady Caballero in the super bantamweight division and the co-feature will put Joseph Diaz against Rafael Rivera in the featherweight division.
