Rams intercept Brian Hoyer on first play of game, score TD on next play all in 12 seconds

That was fast.

The San Francisco 49ers had one of the worst possible starts to Thursday Night Football that you could have possibly conceived against the Rams.

The Rams kicked off to start the game. On the 49ers’ very first play on offense, Brian Hoyer threw an interception to Nickell Robey-Coleman at the 49ers’ 28-yard line, who took the ball back to the 3.

On the Rams’ first play on offense, Todd Gurley punched it in from 3 yards out to make it a 7-0 game. The Rams scored in the game’s first 12 seconds, despite kicking it off.

Hoyer hasn’t exactly been great on the first play of drives this season:

If Thursday night is going to go like this, it might be pretty interesting after all!
