Arkansas vs. Texas A&M News
While Texas A&M has been favored to beat Arkansas on Saturday, the SEC has the Aggies four spots behind the Razorbacks in their power rankings. Going into the game, the Aggies are ranked 12th in the SEC, and the Razorbacks are ranked 8th.
The road map to victory then for A&M will be for the defense to continue stopping the run and forcing turnovers, and for the offense to grow, grow, grow with Kellen Mond. Keep winning the turnover battle and find out how to get the ball to Christian Kirk twice as much as he’s gotten it so far, and the Aggies can still win games. Once again, we can assume that this coming Saturday will give a much better idea of just how high or low the ceiling will be.
Arkansas will enter Saturday’s matchup coming off of a bye week, while Texas A&M will be coming off a relieving win on last Saturday versus Louisiana.
Texas A&M expects to add missing pieces on Saturday
To add to the favor of the Texas A&M Aggies, their offense is expected to be better against Arkansas. Starting running back Trayveon Williams and starting offensive lineman Connor Lanfear will both rejoin the lineup on Saturday. With this resurgence on offense, the Aggies could potentially have the first half they had against UCLA or the second half they had against Lafayette.
Arkansas vs. Texas A&M prediction:
While the excitement revolves around Arkansas and the special honoring of alumnus Jerry Jones, the victory should be taken by Texas A&M. By coming off a strong win last Saturday, and Arkansas coming out of a week off, the Aggies should look like the better prepared team on Saturday.
