Wide receiver Danny Amendola sat out the team’s Week 2 win over the New Orleans Saints with a concussion. He is expected to play against the Houston Texans in Week 3. Amendola caught six passes for 100 yards against the Kansas City Chiefs in Week 1.
Fantasy football Week 3: Danny Amendola, start or sit?
Danny Amendola is ready to suit up in Week 3. We break down the fantasy implications.

Amendola will continue to be a top target of Tom Brady’s moving forward this season provided he can stay healthy. That’s been a problem throughout his career. It’ll be interesting to see how he holds up the rest of the season.
Fantasy impact: With Julian Edelman done for the season thanks to a torn up knee and Rob Gronkowski equally injury prone, a case can always be made for Amendola to start. Assuming he plays regularly, of course.
This week against the Texans presents a matchup against a rebuilding squad who struggles offensively. It’ll only be a matter of time before the Patriots pull well ahead in this game. As they do that, Amendola should see regular targets. He’s a start this week, but only as a WR2.
Recommendation: Start
