Joe Flacco and the Ravens are having a terrible day against the Jaguars in London. It’s so bad for Flacco that his “elite” status took a huge hit in the fourth quarter when he got benched for Ryan Mallett.
Joe Flacco benched for Ryan Mallett. Elite QB status in doubt.
Not elite.

Flacco left the game with no touchdowns, two interceptions, and grand total of 28 yards. Twenty-eight! He was 8-for-18 on his throws and had a rating of 12.0.
Don’t worry, Flacco fans. This is unlikely to be a long-term thing. And head coach John Harbaugh could give us some clue as to his thinking after the game, much less who might be starting for the Ravens when they play their next game against the Steelers in Week 4.
Meanwhile, Blake Bortles has thrown four touchdown passes for the Jaguars.
Not that either one of these quarterbacks would ever be considered elite, but it’s going to be hard for even the most obnoxious sports talk show host to ride with the old “Flacco is elite” narrative after this.
