Davante Adams released from hospital after vicious helmet-to-helmet hit in Bears vs. Packers
Adams took a big hit on the play.

Adams caught a pass in the middle of the field, and as he moved his way up the field, he took a hard hit to the face from Chicago’s Danny Trevathan. Adams was taken off the field on a stretcher.
The injury is serious. Adams was not only taken out on a stretcher, but he was taken to a hospital in an ambulance.
Adams did show movement as he came off the field. CBS cameras showed him giving a thumbs up as the medical staff took him into the tunnel.
The Green Bay Press-Gazette’s Ryan Wood confirmed that Adams had movement as well:
After an overnight stay at the hospital, Adams was back at home Friday:
What does this mean for the Packers? Adams is one of the key weapons for Aaron Rodgers and the Packers. He had two receptions for 13 yards on the night, along with one touchdown. But coming into Thursday night, Adams led the team in receiving with 206 yards on the season.
The Packers luckily still have great weapons in players like Jordy Nelson, Geronimo Allison, Randall Cobb, and Jeff Janis. They’ve also had a pretty simple night on offense against the Bears.
Despite this, the main concern is Adams’ well being. It was an ugly, and serious, injury.
