NFL playoffs 2018: Bracket and schedule update after Titans vs. Patriots

Half the conference title bracket is set after Saturday’s results.

And then there were six. With the conclusion of Saturday’s Divisional Round games, we know two teams — the New England Patriots and Philadelphia Eagles — will be advancing to their respective conference championship games.

The Eagles started the NFL action Saturday by shutting down the Atlanta Falcons offense and doing just enough offensively to pick up a 15-10 win. The Falcons had one last chance at a touchdown, but the Eagles forced a turnover on downs nearly on the goal line with less than a minute left to put the game on ice.

New England’s win was much less stressful for the home fans with the Patriots cruising through the Tennessee Titans for a 35-14 win. Tennessee scored first, but James White gave the Patriots an early lead with two rushing touchdowns and it was all New England from there.

Both the Eagles and Patriots will host the conference championship games next week, but will have to wait until Sunday to find out their opponents. Philadelphia will face the winner of a matchup between the New Orleans Saints and Minnesota Vikings, while the Patriots will take on the winner of a game between the Jacksonville Jaguars and Pittsburgh Steelers.
