Zach LaVine is playing in his first game back since tearing his ACL last February, and if the opening minutes of the Bulls’ matchup against the Pistons are any indication of what to expect, Chicago’s young guard hasn’t missed a step.
Zach LaVine returns from injury to make his season debut for the Bulls
LaVine was sidelined 11 months after tearing his ACL in February.

LaVine started for the Bulls on Saturday night and got off to a hot start, scoring five points in the opening quarter.
He showed some of his agility with a slick crossover in the second quarter:
He now has seven points on 3-of-5 shooting with a minute to go before the half.
LaVine was on the brink of a breakout season with the Timberwolves last season, averaging 18.9 points on 38.7 percent shooting from three through 47 games. He then tore his ACL and missed the remainder of the season. Minnesota eventually traded LaVine and Kris Dunn to Chicago as part of its trade for Jimmy Butler.
ACL injuries are tricky, and it was unclear what level of athleticism LaVine would return with. And while he hasn’t gone off for any high-flying dunks just yet, his early buckets are a good sign for the Bulls going forward.
