The Pro Football Hall of Fame announced its final ballot for the 2018 class, which features a unique mix of old-time veterans and modern-day stars becoming eligible for the first time. A handful of the 2000s’ biggest stars are looking to get their gold jacket this year.

The most notable names on this year’s ballot are, indeed, the first-time candidates. Ray Lewis is a lock to be inducted on his first year after leading the Baltimore Ravens to two Super Bowl titles. Brian Urlacher is another linebacker who has a strong chance of getting in this year, being a rock in the middle of the Chicago Bears’ defense for many years.

Wide receiver tends to be a logjam in Hall of Fame voting, and it doesn’t look like this year will be any different. Randy Moss stands the best shot of getting in on his first year, while the voters keep making Terrell Owens wait despite an impeccable on-field resume. Meanwhile, Isaac Bruce, one of the leading stars of the Greatest Show on Turf, figures to wait his turn once again.

Steve Hutchinson is another first-year candidate, joining Alan Faneca, Tony Boselli, and Kevin Mawae among the offensive linemen. The last first-year player is a blast from a past — cornerback Everson Walls, who was a defensive mainstay on the Dallas Cowboys throughout the 1980s.

In addition to the modern-era finalists, the Hall of Fame has two senior nominees and a contributor on the final ballot. This year’s senior representatives are Robert Brazile and Jerry Kramer, with Bobby Beathard in the contributor category.

The Hall of Fame 2018 class will officially be announced on Feb. 3 at the NFL Honors show, the night before the Super Bowl. The enshrinement ceremony will take place in early August in Canton.
