For the first time in 68 weeks, the AP Poll does not include Kentucky, which fell out after back-to-back losses to South Carolina and Florida. This breaks a stretch dating back to March of 2014. The Wildcats are now 14-5 on the season, and in fourth place in the SEC with a 4-3 conference record.

Villanova retains the top spot, followed by Virginia and Purdue.

There was no movement in the top three teams as Villanova, Virginia, and Purdue held on to their positions atop the latest AP Poll. Duke moved up one spot to No. 4, and Kansas — up five spots — rounds out the top five.
No. 16 St. Mary’s (CA), No. 20 Florida, No. 23 Nevada, and No. 24 Rhode Island all joined the poll this week after not being ranked last week.
The ACC, Big 12, and Big Ten all have four teams represented in this week’s poll, with the SEC adding three and the Big East, AAC, and Pac-12 with two representatives each.
