These numbers are staggering.

LiAngelo and LaMelo Ball are playing like they never left Chino Hills. The Ball brothers combined for 80 points and 17 rebounds in a Big Baller Brand Challenge win over Alytaus Dzūkija.

The Ball Brothers brought NBA 2K’s Pro Am league to life with crazy three-pointers and up-and-down play. LaMelo led the way with 43 points and seven rebounds while LiAngelo dropped 37 and added on another 10 rebounds.

LaMelo made 10 three-pointers, including this absurd fall-away shot from deep.

There was much more where than came from for LaMelo.

He also had this beauty of a dunk off a turnover.

LiAngelo had himself a day bullying opponents around in the post and hitting shots from the outside.

In combination, the Ball brothers made play after play for their team throughout the exhibition game. There was very little defense played in the game, but still LaMelo, in particular, showed why some believe he has a skill set that could be great for the NBA.

This isn’t anything new for the Ball Brothers

They’ve been playing well so far in the Big Baller Brand challenge. With the spotlight on them, they combined for 80 points on Tuesday. On Sunday, they combined for another 33 points with LiAngelo dropping 20. In their third pro game on Jan. 15 they combined for 60 points.

The Ball brothers have had their ups and downs against pro competition so far, but it looks like they’re fitting right in and performing well with the talent surrounding them. Hopefully they’ll continue to grow as players from this experience.

Still, this isn’t the real thing for either of them

A total of 80 points and 17 rebounds is impressive, no matter what. But we do have to keep in mind that the Big Baller Brand Challenge is essentially the Ball brothers and Vytautas playing exhibition games against lower competition.

It’s a chance for the Ball brothers to get more playing time and showcase their skills for whatever their next level of competition may be. They’re playing against players closer to their own age and not necessarily the most skilled out there.

Hell, LaVar Ball is even an assistant coach on the team now.

We can only take this but so seriously.

Still, the Ball brothers have made the most of this chance and were impressive against the competition they played against.
