After DeMarcus Cousins tore his Achilles tendon and was pronounced out for the remainder of the season, the NBA announced that Paul George will be his replacement on Team LeBron.

Cousins was named an All-Star starter in the Western Conference after averaging 25.2 points, 12.9 rebounds, and 5.4 assists for the Pelicans, but his season was cut short after a non-contact injury left him unable to put any weight on his left leg on Friday.

Many felt George was the biggest All-Star snub from a decorated list of players who weren’t named to the All-Star Game. He had the most All-Star voting points by NBA head coaches for remaining Western Conference players not named as reserves.

In his first season with the Thunder, George is averaging 20.9 points, 5.5 rebounds, three assists, and 2.2 steals per game. He is well-deserving of an All-Star nod, but it’s unfortunate he had to be make the game under these circumstances.
