Milwaukee Bucks forward Jabari Parker will make his highly anticipated return from injury for the team’s matchup against the New York Knicks on Friday. Parker and the Bucks announced his return Monday night, midway through their game against the 76ers.
Jabari Parker to return from 2nd torn ACL Friday vs. Knicks
Parker will make his anticipated season debut against the Knicks after almost a year off.

Parker tore his ACL on Feb. 7 and was expected to be sidelined for 12 months. It was a gruesome injury, and even more worrisome as it was his second ACL tear on the same left knee in a three-year span.
The Bucks made the playoffs last season without their star forward and are on pace to make it again this season, but make no mistake: Milwaukee is much better with Parker healthy. The Duke product averaged 20 points on 49 percent shooting from the field and 36.5 percent shooting from three last season in the 51 games preceding his injury.
It is unclear how Parker will fare in his first game back after almost a year on the bench, and if Isaiah Thomas’ troubles after seven months off with a hip injury serves as any barometer, it could be a rocky road for Parker regaining his old form. But after Parker tore his ACL early into his rookie year, he worked his way into a 20-point per game scorer last season.
If he gets back to that form, the Bucks could be even scarier in the playoffs.
