The Hawks proved how dedicated they are to tanking with this final play

TFW you need a three but you also need a better team next year.

The Hawks had been on a tear of late — before Tuesday night they had won three of their last four games. And it looks like they were told to stop, because at the end of Hawks-Suns Dennis Schroëder opted for a quick two pointer with time running down and options running thin.

No timeouts, down three with only a few seconds left and this is what you come up with?

LOL. Fam, what? I don’t understand. You can see Mike Budenholzer doesn’t either. He was already making his way to Schroëder before the game even ended.

Maybe Schroëder figured they had more time left than they actually did? He had to know they didn’t have timeouts yet. Maybe he’s actually just in on the tankathon?!

I have no clue. Either way, this play is funny. It was an anticlimactic ending to a pretty exciting finish, too. The Suns were down 101-96 with about 42 seconds left on the clock and down double-digits with less than five minutes to go.

The Hawks just put new meaning to ‘Don’t win for Doncic’ and it made my night.
