Andre Drummond will be an All-Star for the second time in his career this season. Drummond was selected by Adam Silver to replace John Wall on Team LeBron, who will miss the game after undergoing knee surgery.

The Pistons’ center was openly irritated after being initially snubbed from the team. And, honestly, he had legitimate reason to be. Drummond is leading the league with a career-high 15.1 rebounds per game and has been the fulcrum on the Pistons offense averaging a caree—high 3.8 assists per game.

He responded to that snub with a game literally no other NBA player has ever had before, making an awfully compelling case for himself. Now, Drummond will get his wish to play in the game.

Ben Simmons, Kemba Walker and Goran Dragic all had compelling cases for being All-Stars this season but obviously not everyone could make it. Ben Simmons tweeted this crying laughing emoji after Drummond was announced as the replacement.

And neither is Jaylen Brown, apparently. (Thanks, Draymond Green).

Still, despite Simmons’ and Brown’s displeasure, Drummond deserved to make this game. The Pistons are in a slump right now, but it’s not because of a lack of effort from him. It was a tough decision to make, but this was a solid choice.
