After the Warriors’ 124-114 win over the Nuggets, David West gave an honest interview about his superstar teammate Steph Curry.
Steph Curry is ‘just better,’ and 8 other things from Monday night
David West gave the most beautifully simple statement about his teammate.

“He’s just better than a lot of people,” West said. “He’s just better.”
He isn’t wrong.
Despite suffering a knee injury that forced him to go back to the locker room briefly, Curry finished with 32 points on 9-of-17 shooting (5-of-10 from three) and nine assists. He did the usual Steph thing, hitting shots from wherever he felt like, no matter how deep:
It’s nothing new. In the five games since he’s returned from his ankle injury, he’s yet to score fewer than 29 points in a game, shoot worse than 40 percent from three or 50 percent from the field.
The Nuggets did all they could and had 21-point games from Jamal Murray and Trey Lyles, a 22-point game from Gary Harris, and a 22-point triple-double night from Nikola Jokic (12 rebounds, 11 assists). But it wasn’t enough.
Steph. Is. Just. Better.
LeBron has never seen a beatdown like what the Wolves did to him
The Timberwolves absolutely crushed the Cavaliers, 127-99, in a game in which they led by as many as 41 points.
LeBron James had his worst game of the season with just 10 points, eight rebounds, and five assists, and his minus-39 plus-minus was the worst of his career. LeBron’s NEVER been beat this badly before.
Andrew Wiggins, Taj Gibson, Karl-Anthony Towns, and Jimmy Butler combined for 81 points on the night, while the Cavs starting five had 28. Yikes.
Kyle Lowry suffered a terrifying back injury
In overtime of a tight game with the Nets, Kyle Lowry was undercut and landed awkwardly on his back:
After writhing on the floor in pain, Lowry tried to walk under his own power but couldn’t. He had to be carried off the floor.
Lowry was heard yelling to get an X-ray on his ass, but for now the team is calling the injury an acute back spasm.
27-year-old rookie C.J. Williams beat the Hawks
On a two-way contract, Williams showed he belongs, draining the game-winning three with just nine seconds to spare. Get this man a real contract!
The Victor Oladipo meme took over:
