Serge Ibaka made his Raptors teammates eat LAMB BRAIN, and it went exactly how you’d expect

Nah, Ibaka’s different.

Serge Ibaka said he wants the Raptors’ bench mob to be smarter for Toronto this season. So in the latest episode of his YouTube series, “How hungry are you?,” Ibaka invited Fred VanVleet, OG Anunoby, Norman Powell, Delon Wright, and Pascal Siakam over to his home — for lamb brain.

Ibaka is of Congolese and Spanish descent, and he uses this series to showcase the different types of meals he enjoyed growing up in the Congo. His past guests on the show have been Hornets center Bismack Biyombo, soccer star Romelu Lukaku, ESPN anchor Cari Champion, and former Raptors teammate DeMar DeRozan. On his last episode, he had DeRozan eating worms.

So this time, Ibaka had this lamb brain soaking in some type of liquid before cooking it in on low heat with some butter, “herbs,” then salt and pepper. He put the cooked cerebral matter on a tray, topped it with what looked like arugula and tomatoes, covered it, and brought it out to his teammates.

Here’s what they looked like when he showed them the main course.

You can tell Pascal Siakam is not with it at all:

Ibaka cooked the lamb brain on low temperature for a reason: it was served with toast so it could be spread like butter.

Norman Powell: “It spreads?!”

VanVleet’s face perfectly sums up this experience:

Some of the bench goes on to enjoy this lamb brain spread over toast. Delon Wright, who takes the first bite, finished his food. But Norman Powell isn’t with it: “I can’t lie to you, bro,” he says to Anunoby. “That shit shaky.”

Anunoby’s face after a taste?

Wright actually ate a piece of the raw lamb brain that was in the center of the plate.

I’ve never eaten brain, nor do I plan on eating brain in my lifetime, but I’d assume I at least try it if two things came true:

  • My bank account suddenly featured eight more zeroes
  • My veteran pro basketball teammate prepared it for me as a dish from his culture

Under any and all other circumstances, though, you can miss me with that. Film study and playbooks help players get smarter, not lamb brain. The Raptors’ bench mob learned that the hard way.

Someone get Serge Ibaka out the kitchen.
