David Price reacting to Aaron Judge’s homer is one of the best baseball pictures you’ll ever see

Aaron Judge hit it far, and David Price knew it. It turned into art.

David Price gave up a home run to Aaron Judge. It was a long, booming home run. It looked like it left the ballpark before the camera cut to the outfield shot.

I would like to show you a picture of David Price reacting to this home run. I have to warn you, though: It’s perfect. You have to brace yourself for perfection, I’m warning you.

Judge hasn’t even dropped the bat. The umpire hasn’t even taken off his mask. But they know. They all know. And David Price is yelling, “CONSARNIT” or a modern equivalent. The only explanation for this picture is that No. 99 has hit a baseball 460 feet. It’s not a picture of the pitcher realizing he left the stove on. It’s not a picture of a ball that looks like a homer but just drops foul.

It was utter annihilation, and it was obvious within .005 seconds. That ball had a family, and now its head is on a pike as a warning to other baseballs. Please pray for that baseball. And Price knew it. He knew it before it left the infield, really.

With all this in mind, please appreciate this Paul Rutherford picture. It’s absolutely breathtaking.
