Joel Embiid is the NBA’s biggest villain these days, and he reminded the world on a play that had absolutely nothing to do with him during the 76ers’ matchup against the Knicks on Monday night.

Embiid is a villain, and the world loves him.
T.J. McConnell came up with a steal late in the third quarter and found in transition Robert Covington, who went up with one hand and threw it down all over Michael Beasley. Enter Embiid, who demonstratively laughed in Beasley’s face after the poster, then pointed at him while getting back on defense.
Officials assessed Embiid a technical, but that didn’t stop the seven-footer from raising his arms, stirring up applause from the Philly crowd. Here’s another look:
