A definitive ranking of the 9 best shoes from All-Star weekend

All-Star weekend is the best time of the year in the NBA. You get the best players in one space interacting with fans, media and each other to celebrate the game we all know and love. That’s always great.

But it’s also special because these players always get to pull out all the stops with their sneakers. Everyone’s sneakers throughout the weekend were pretty great, but here what we thought were the best out of all of them from the weekend. Enjoy!

Paul George already debuted his PG2 this season, but this is the first time we saw the All-Star colorway. It’s a sleek-looking shoe with a solid olive color complimented by specs of orange along the midsole.

This version of the Curry 4 comes in a salmon color that we’ve never seen before. It’s a bit of a contrast to Team Steph’s white and black All-Star uniform, but it works nonetheless.

This is one of the cleanest Jordan retros I’ve seen in a while. It’s somewhat rare to see a player wearing a colorway that isn’t exclusively for that player, but this Jordan 10 is so good it works just fine for Walker in his All-Star uniform.

First of all, this is probably the most boss shoe you’re going to see. This is LeBron James’ LeBron XV collaboration with KITH, where a floral print fit for a king’s cape is added on to the shoe’s knit upper. Long live the king, indeed.

Kyrie Irving has had some of the best colorways in Nike basketball over the last few years and he continued that this weekend with his All-Star Kyrie 4’s. This tie die colorway features a cotton candy colored outsole, a tie die upper and a pink swoosh. It looks just as amazing as it plays.

The Harden Vol. 2 had a pretty quiet release over the weekend, but the pair James Harden wore during the All-Star game were anything but that. This colorful version of the sneaker features plenty of color — it’s hard not to notice them on the court.

This is another custom design for Towns from the sneaker designer Kickstradomis. The shoe pays homage to the Adult Swim cartoon Rick and Morty and is yet another creative rendition of the 2017 Hyperdunk from Towns. He’s on fire.

McGrady doesn’t play basketball anymore, but he suited up for the celebrity game on Friday and took us way, way back with his black and gold version of the T Mac III. He’s wearing mismatched colors on purpose, by the way. If you remember, McGrady wore something similar in the 2004 All-Star game. Extra points for a throwback.

This is a throwback paying homage to the old Nike Zoom Kobe 1. It’s a collaboration with the streetwear brand UNDFTD and is absolutely flawless. It’s a new spin on an old model and I wish DeRozan could wear them every single time he plays.
