GUESS WHAT? STOP THE PRESSES! ANOTHER SKIP BAYLESS HOT TAKE HAS BACKFIRED ON HIM.
The Pelicans’ Twitter account dunked all over Skip Bayless for his bad Anthony Davis take
They WENT IN.

The take, from Bayless, is about Anthony Davis, who is objectively an MVP candidate and a top-five basketball player in this league, and maybe even better than that. Here are the receipts. This tweet was sent a week ago, and since then, Bayless has been proven wrong, wrong, wrong, wrong, and more wrong.
And Bayless? He’s being clowned by, well, everyone.
Davis is dunking on Bayless
In three games since Bayless’ tweet, Davis is averaging: 42 points, 16 rebounds, nearly three steals, and four blocks. On Monday, he had a 53-point game with 18 rebounds and five blocks. He has also scored 40 points five times in his past 11 games, though that includes games before the tweet, which apparently Bayless missed when tweeting about the very good basketball player.
Davis hasn’t said anything about Bayless, and shouldn’t even be asked about him, but if Bayless needs an answer, then it’s sitting on the basketball court right now.

Just search Twitter and there’s a lot — a lot — of tweets like this.
Don’t forget the Golden Rule of Skip Bayless
When he says something dumb, just ignore him. That’s the correct reaction 99 percent of the time, since he’s just stirring up opinions and has been for a long time. Even in examples like this, you don’t have to weigh in. We all know he’s wrong about Davis, so let him be wrong.
That said, there is something so rewarding about someone saying something dumb, even Bayless, and then them getting clowned for that bad take as thoroughly as he did. The Pelicans’ social media staff deserved to be shouted out for this one.
