Tuesday night, the Miami Hurricanes pulled off the upset of the No. 9 North Carolina Tar Heels in Chapel Hill on senior night thanks to a buzzer-beater by Miami’s Ja’Quan Newton. UNC trailed by as many as 16 in the second half, but managed to climb all the way back even at 88 with four seconds left thanks to a deep three-pointer from senior Joel Berry.
Marcus Paige and Kris Jenkins got buzzer beater deja vu watching frantic ending of UNC-Miami
That shot was eerily similar to North Carolina fans.

Miami inbounded the ball and found Newton, who pulled up from just inside mid-court to drill his only attempted three of the game as time expired to give the Hurricanes a much needed ACC road win.
The contest had shades of the 2016 National Championship where UNC’s Marcus Paige tied the game on a three-point shot with 4.8 seconds left, only to be thwarted by a buzzer-beating three from Villanova’s Kris Jenkins.
Both Paige and Jenkins took to Twitter last night:
Damn is right, Marcus.
