Russell Westbrook’s media sessions are brief, uninspired, and occasionally combative, but he’ll sometimes do things that are both amusing and totally counter to anything that we’re used to seeing. It’s usually inspired by the same reasons — Westbrook doesn’t want to answer a question — but it at least gives us a great soundbite or video clip.
Russell Westbrook hilariously made a reporter answer his own question, then walked off
Westbrook pulled one over on this Thunder reporter.

Here’s the latest example, courtesy of The Norman Transcript’s excellent Fred Katz on Tuesday.
This is a peak Westbrook media scrum, and it’s totally harmless. Westbrook latches onto sports cliches and sticks by them, like this one about playing every game the same way. He does it so much that even he knows that the reporter in question, a Thunder regular, knew how he would respond. And when the reporter said it, all Westbrook needed to do was walk away ... so he did.
You can’t complain about Westbrook not being efficient anymore. He got the reporter asking the question to also give the answer.
