Veteran sharpshooter Marco Belinelli and the Atlanta Hawks have reached a buyout agreement, according to ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski. He will become an unrestricted free agent once he clears a 48-hours waiver period:
Marco Belinelli, Hawks reach buyout agreement. Where should he go?
Belinelli and the Hawks agreed to part ways, but where would it make sense for him to go?

Belinelli is a 31-year-old sniper, averaging 11.4 points on 38 percent shooting from downtown. He has three years of playoff experience in San Antonio and Chicago.
Why didn’t the Hawks trade Belinelli?
That’s a really good question, especially when Atlanta sat him to discuss trade options in early February. A reason from SB Nation’s Hawks blog Peachtree Hoops: The Hawks probably just didn’t get an offer they liked, and no team wants to take back salary in any trade these days.
Nothing materialized. It happens to the best of us.
Where is Belinelli a good fit?
Any playoff team that needs a sharpshooter, that’s a good start.
The Thunder are the worst three-point shooting team projected to make the playoffs. Milwaukee, Toronto and — here’s an interesting fit — Miami are also bottom-10 teams in three-point percentage.
The Warriors are also always on the prowl around buyout season and can dangle the prospect of an NBA championship. In reality, Belinelli will have his fair share of suitors to choose from should he clear waivers.
