See what it was like to be a U.S. Olympian at the Opening Ceremony

These are the best views you can get.

The Olympics are a monumental time in an athlete’s career. Everything they have been working hard for will finally manifest itself, hopefully in the form of a medal. But before they can get to the competition, they bask in the buzz surrounding the games’ Opening Ceremony

Here are just a few examples of what it’s like for olympians to participate in the Opening Ceremony.

Even the calm before the storm looks exciting. So many Olympians under one roof (though it might be hard to find your buddy when you’re all decked out in the same gear).

This view of the stadium alone is worth the trip.

Nick Cunningham gave us an amazing look at how the arena looks from the perspective of a spectator.

And if you’ve ever wanted to feel like you were participating in the ceremony, bobsledder Nate Weber has you covered. Plus, you get the added bonus of walking out to PSY’s “Gangnam Style.”

No ceremony is complete without a fireworks show.

Good luck, Team USA!
