Karl-Anthony Towns should win MVP in at least one category: his sneaker game.
Karl-Anthony Towns’ custom sneaker game is best in the entire NBA
Towns has better shoes than you, and it ain’t close.

The Minnesota Timberwolves star and Nike athlete has killed it with custom sneakers literally all season. We occasionally see athletes use a custom shoe here or there, often to support a certain cause, but Towns has turned it into an art. His shoes represent his favorite TV shoes, or holidays, or anything else that makes sense.
Fortunately, the NBA is fully supportive of athletes using custom shoes, unlike certain sports organizations in North America. Imagine a commissioner supporting players having fun! Because of that, Towns is taking full advantage of the NBA rules.
Here’s a rundown of the kicks that he has used so far.
“Love Trump Hates” shoes
Towns broke these out last year for the Kentucky Alumni Game in August.
‘Jason’ shoes on Halloween
Towns’ first custom kicks from this season might still be my favorite of his. Man, the ‘Jason’ theme using the Nike swoosh is just genius.
‘Grinch’ shoes on Christmas
A big Grinch on the back, little snowflakes up front, and a beautiful shoe from beginning to end.
‘Stranger Things’ shoes
Proof that no one can hate this show.
‘Dragon Ball Z’ shoes
Towns is going Super Saiyan one of these days.
MLK shoes for MLK Day
One side says, “I have a dream,” while the other side reads, “EQUALITY.”
‘Graduation’ shoes
‘Can’t Tell Me Nothing’ is still a top-five Ye song.
Eagles shoes after Super Bowl 52
Towns is a huge Eagles fan after growing up in New Jersey. He was even at the game, taking photographs on the sideline for The Player’s Tribune and later basically crying when the game ended with a Philadelphia victory.
‘Rick and Morty’ shoes
Of course Towns is trying to get schwifty.
