NBA B Sides: Lonzo Ball and Kyle Kuzma love to roast each other

Plus, five other reasons to love the NBA this week, many of which come thanks to the Rockets.

We are basically a month away from the NBA playoffs. Can you believe it? Because I cannot.

The NBA has yet to let us down at any point this season. Just hours ago, we found out J.R. Smith launched a bowl of soup at a Cavs assistant coach. You can’t even make this stuff up.

One thing I didn’t anticipate when I started B-Sides is that it would feature so much Rockets content. I mean, James Harden has his own weekly dedicated section. Prepare yourselves for a lot from the Rockets this week. I can’t help it. They’re great.

But first...

1. Lonzo Ball and Kyle Kuzma have a love-hate relationship

If you don’t follow Ball and Kuzma on Instagram, you may miss the fact they roast each other daily on their stories. They take shots at each other, mostly for fashion, but also for weird food choices, like Lonzo eating a massive bowl of only cheese.

Here is Ball giving Kuzma a tough time about his jacket choice. As a noted extreme Kuzma fan, this jacket is so bad and the roast was deserved.

The roasting has become a daily occurance between the two and it makes for good i

2. Steph Curry accidentally smashed up his hotel room

Curry said he was practicing his golf swing and clearly destroyed the heck out of something in his room. That bill they slide under the hotel room door when you check out is going to be a bit higher than normal.

3. Chris Paul high fiving Harden’s mom and getting a turnover as a result

The play was funny enough as is. With another win in the bag, Paul dribbled over to the sideline and gave a high five across the out of bounds line to Harden’s mom. The referee actually called him out of bounds.

Then the tweets came. First from Paul.

Then from Harden.

4. Boban. Just Boban.

Tobias Harris and Boban Marjanovic are the most underrated best friend duo in the league.

This after Marjanovic lit up the Nuggets in a crucial victory on Tuesday.

5. Why is Blake Griffin in a space suit?

Turns out it was for his new website, but still. Why is he in a space suit?

CJ McCollum and Andre Drummond got a good laugh too.

6. Chris Paul dressed as a cowboy before a game

I’m still not over this one. I may never be.

My favorite James Harden photo of the week

It couldn’t have realistically been anything but this.

Wesley Johnson and James Harden.

See ya next week, friends. Tweet me your B-Sides, and I’ll include them in the next round.
