Robert Covington traveled in the most hilarious way, and the refs somehow missed it

This is actually unbelievable.

As time wound down in the first quarter of 76ers vs. Heat Game 1 on Saturday, Robert Covington caught a pass, pump-faked, side-stepped, then shot a three. It was cash, but it damn sure should not have counted.

Let me make something clear right now: Under no circumstances is this play NOT a travel.

And it’s not just me that thinks so:

Sure, players push the travel call these days with euro-steps and side-steps, but those all come after a dribble. Covington had the nerve, no the gall, to side-step without taking a dribble, and nobody blew the whistle.

We might as well just throw the travel rule out the window.
