Two-time Olympic gold medalist and current holder of the WBC and IBF super middleweight championships, Claressa Shields, will be in action against Hanna Gabriels in the main event of a Showtime boxing card on Friday.

The card is set to begin at 10 p.m. ET on Showtime, with two televised bouts before the main event. Live streaming of the three total bouts can be had via Showtime or a streaming service that carries it, such as fuboTV.

Shields will not be putting her titles on the line, nor will Gabriels put up her WBA and WBO world super welterweight belts. Instead, Friday’s action will be for the vacant IBF and WBA world middleweight titles.

The holder of the WBO and WBC world middleweight titles, Christina Hammer, will also be in action on Friday. She’s in the co-feature, putting her belts on the line against Tori Nelson, the boxer that Shields beat by decision her last time out. If both Shields and Hammer — who are both undefeated — win on Friday, that could set up a unification bout between the two.

“You are going to see a very technical and aggressive fighter,” Gabriels said to the media after a workout prior to the bout. “That’s the only way that you can fight Claressa because she’s so aggressive herself and so tough, you can’t go in the ring passive against her. You have to put your life on the line in there and that’s what I’m planning to do.”

Both Shields and Gabriels are happy that they are fighting for a number of reasons, but one is that it’s a great matchup that should help the popularity of women’s boxing.

“I can’t wait to get into the ring on June 22,” said Shields. “I love the fight against Hanna Gabriels — champion versus champion, exactly the kind of fight that I want every time to take women’s boxing to new heights.

Below is all you need to know to watch the action, and below that is the full fight card.
