Greetings, sports fans!

The best sports movies are independent of the sport they’re depicting, with universal stories that should appeal to anyone whether they love the sport or not. Though loving the sport does help.

For SB Nation fans who love sports movies, this one’s for you: Our friends at Vulture made a special edition of their Cinematrix game just in time for NFL Kickoff Weekend . Tap the link to enjoy it while you wait to watch tonight’s game.

Here’s today’s grid, but you have to click over to Vulture to play.

It’s easy to play. Here are the rules:

  • For each square, select a movie that satisfies the two intersecting clues from the x-axis and y-axis. If a movie poster appears, congrats, you got that square correct.
  • You have nine guesses to fill out the entire grid. A given movie cannot be used twice.
  • If you’re unclear about a certain clue, click on it to see a headshot of that person or read a more detailed explanation.
  • When you correctly guess a movie, a percentage will appear in that square. It represents the number of players who guessed the same movie for that square.
  • At the end of each game, you’ll get a Rarity Score. Selecting more obscure movies for each square will yield a more impressive score.

After you’re done over at Vulture, come back and share your grid and rarity scores in the comments section below. There’s a “Copy Your Results” button once you submit.

There is a new puzzle every day, so add it to your daily game rotation!
