Avery Bradley wasn't the only member of the Celtics responsible for Kyrie Irving's 40-point game Tuesday night; Rajon Rondo and others checked him at times, and Boston's team pick-and-roll as a whole really faltered. Bradley definitely spent a lot of time chasing Irving in vain, though, which makes a tweet like this one -- since deleted, but preserved by Holly MacKenzie -- a little puzzling:
Avery Bradley gives up a 40-point game, insists he never gives up 40-point games
Avery Bradley is confused.

Well, then. RT @avery_bradley: Please stop sayin he gave me 40. Nobody will ever score 40 on me unless they take 40 shots

Bradley deleted that tweet, then deleted a similar tweet posted soon afterward, perhaps because followers were blowing up his mentions.
But yeah, Bradley wasn’t solely responsible for Irving’s huge night, but ... Irving definitely scored 40 and definitely did so on fewer than 40 attempts. Bradley seems to be either amnesic, in denial, or just ... confident. Yeah, we’ll go with that one.
