It's not entirely clear why Dwight Howard picked Tuesday night of all nights to stop wearing a headband so reviled by fans that there were petitions against its existence. It is the case, though, that after 46 games played with a purple or yellow headband, he stepped on the floor against the Suns sans accessory.
