The state of Ohio is now officially avoiding the letter ‘M’

Hate Week has a governor’s resolution now.

Greg Bartram-US PRESSWIRE

Ohio State fans are serious about eliminating the letter “M” from their vocabularies before the Buckeyes face hated Michigan this weekend, as evidenced by all the folks on Twitter you’ll see using giant red letters “X” instead, or by Urban Meyer’s wife threatening to wash his (m)outh out with soap. Now it goes past even that:

That is Ohio governor John Kasich, and that is an official resolution declaring November 30 “Scarlet Letter Saturday” and encouraging “all Ohioans to avoid using the letter M whenever possible.” THAT is some top-notch hatin’ right there. Unnecessary shot at actual wolverines, though, if you ask me.

And yeah, the lieutenant governor must resent her parents for naming her “Mary” right about now.
