Alarming news out of College Park, Maryland: In advance of the Terrapins’ football game against Syracuse on Saturday, folks at Maryland are promoting the consumption of oranges. But not just any oranges-- Otto the Orange, Syracuse’s mascot.
Maryland suggests you eat Syracuse’s mascot
They’ve even got nutrition facts.

A few things about this:
1. Oranges are great and great for you, but if this weekend ends with misled Maryland students attacking and cannibalizing a person in a fuzzy orange costume, that’s gonna be a big problem, if only because they’ll find their meal to contain a lot of felt, cotton, and human sinew with very little of the promised potassium.
2. Is “EAT YOUR OPPONENTS” a weekly thing? If so, I’d like to see Maryland’s nutritional info and suggested preparations for the FIU Golden Panthers or the West Virginia Mountaineers. Can you even catch a Demon Deacon, let alone eat one?
3. This is a thing, guys. I’m just saying. Be careful out there.
