The man responsible for this wild Nebraska hail mary to beat Northwestern:
Nebraska third-string QB who threw game-winning hail mary goes undercover on campus
...and his cover was mostly blown!
...is Ron Kellogg III, who came into the season as the Cornhuskers’ third-string quarterback. It was a big deal. Considering his back-up status, though, the folks at Nebraska figured students and faculty might not be totally familiar with the guy, so they sent him “undercover” (in a hat) to test the familiarity of Husker fans.
And you know what? They did pretty well. Several people recognized Kellogg, several at least suspected something was up, and only the friendly maintenance guy made a notable faux pas.
You passed the test, Nebraska!
