You're really not supposed to jump in the air for a pass if you don't have a recipient in mind. Walt Frazier calls that the "cardinal sin of passing". Beno Udrih sinned something fierce:

Udrih probably could have been called for an up-and-down here. Instead, he just whipped the ball of Jeff Green's calf and committed a regular (but awful) turnover. The funny thing is, if he succeeded with what he was apparently trying to do, it would have been a crazy awesome five-hole pass. This is the line we straddle when leaving our feet to pass.
