As you may have heard, Kendrick Lamar got everyone worked up Monday night with a growly verse on Big Sean’s Control” deeming himself the “king of New York” and calling out like a dozen other rappers by name. With the world awaiting responses, New York Rangers PR snatched the mic:

First of all, @ HIM, YOU COWARDS. Second of all, the onus is now on Henrik Lundqvist to release a “Henrik Lamar” mixtape. Third of all: #NYRap.

The Rangers weren’t the only sports internet presence to capitalize on the hashtaggy zeitgeist:
