They make t-shirts for championships and the like, so it makes sense that an athletic feat like pitching a 1-2-3 ninth inning with one’s underparts fluttering in the breeze deserves its own shirt. That’s what Glen Perkins of the Twins did a few weeks ago, realizing only at the last minute that his fly had been down for the duration of his save, and here is the subsequent shirt:
Glen Perkins’ unzipped save is now a t-shirt
Why not a commemorative zipper?

Remember when I pitched with my fly open? We made a t-shirt from it. Available race day for $20. Proceeds go to CF pic.twitter.com/H3vXhnvO6o

While that is a fine shirt and we mustn’t pick nits with charitable endeavors, I’m a little upset the event wasn’t commemorated with a more topic-appropriate article of clothing. Why not a pair of Glen Perkins Unzipped Save Fly Boxers or, even better, a Glen Perkins Unzipped Fly Save Extremely Heavy Zipper Tag?
