Wednesday night was Todd Helton's final home game at Coors Field. As a gift to their retiring hero, the Rockies gave Helton a horse. A whole, live horse.

I want to play baseball and have a long, excellent career so I can get free animals.

Yes the @Rockies gave Todd Helton a horse. No seriously, a living horse -> pic.twitter.com/tJ4Hvb8k7G

Not quite as great as when the Yankees gave Catfish Hunter his own elephant, but things are different these days and that's a pretty impressive gift, considering.
Note that the horse bowed its head so Helton couldn’t look at its mouth, because it is a gift horse and it knows that would be unbecoming of both parties.
Helton offered a home run as a thank you card.
