Kansas State had the game against Southern Utah wrapped up, but the Thunderbirds’ John Marshall was still gunning for backcourt steals, and turned this one into a shot at the rim. Bad idea:

That is Kansas State’s Brandon Bolden with the swat, and that is the shot-blocking equivalent of swinging a sledgehammer at someone’s layup attempt. And then the staredown, too. Man. In terms of disrespectful blockery, this is unlike anything I’ve seen since the “Let’s Get Blown” video.
I’m beginning to wonder if he threw a bad inbound pass just to tee up that smash, like a little serve-and-volley game.
I’ve watched this so much my teeth hurt but I can’t stop. Help.
Update: Only on the 975th viewing did I notice the ref shrugging slightly like “Sorry, it wasn’t a foul, I can’t help you. This is the path you chose for yourself.” This Vine is the gift that keeps on giving.
