You know how sometimes you’re watching basketball on TV and the network cuts to commercial and a commercial comes on with LeBron James just havin’ a good time and it goes on for so long you begin to wonder if you changed the channel by accident and are now watching a TV show about LeBron James? Those long-ass commercials are for Samsung. James has a big ol’ endorsement deal with them, which means he has to carry around one of their phones (though look around on the internet enough and you’ll find some LOOK HE HAS AN IPHONE stuff. Whatever.)
LeBron James, Samsung pitchman, told 12 million people his phone crashed
This will not be in the next commercial.

Anyway, this tweet went up Wednesday afternoon, then got deleted, but not before @jensized screencapped it:
That sound you just heard was everyone at Samsung facepalming simultaneously pic.twitter.com/NfJ2qi8fk0
— Jen Clarke (@jensized) March 12, 2014 I have never been a pitchman for a massive corporation before, but I’m pretty sure people with endorsement deals are advised NOT to tell their followers that the product they endorse failed and made them feel sick. The Samsung people presumably: 1. Exploded 2. Contacted him and asked him to delete the tweet (but how?), but not before almost 12 million had a chance to see that. Whoops. Maybe this is when you play up the “he was actually using an iPhone!!!” angle?
