There is a rumor that dates back to this Mighty MJD quote in a Deadspin post from 2006 that when Dikembe Mutombo was at Georgetown in the late 80’s and early 90’s he at least once walked into a crowded bar and shouted “WHO WANTS TO SEX MUTOMBO?” The claim has since been investigated without a real conclusion, but whether it’s true or not (and I’ve always assumed it wasn’t, in which case it’s kind of a mean rumor), it is hilarious to imagine Mutombo’s voice -- which is basically what it would sound like if a cave could gargle -- uttering that inquiry.
